I am grateful for allergy meds! When we first arrived in the Sacramento Valley we were told if we had never suffered from allergies, get ready for it. And if we already suffer from allergies, we will be miserable. My goodness they were not kidding. My head is a veritable oozing mess. Residing in farm country has its pros and cons. For example, during this week local farmers are cutting and baling hay. The fields are this gorgeous dried silvery gold with a beautiful blue sky. These picturesque landscapes leave me clamoring for a camera often…but then I can’t see through the lens with my watery eyes.

Forgive my absence. Life happens and there has definitely been alot going on in our life. For instance, we have reached the end of our time in Europe and are headed back to the states. I’ve forgotten about my gratitude project and with all the stress of the move I’ve remembered that yes there are some crazy moments and unfair things happening; but there are still so many things to be grateful for.
Today I am grateful for a beautiful sunrise to spur me into motion.
Today I am grateful for a warm, cozy, loving home. And this colorful celestial printed mink blanket my husband brought home from his year in South Korea almost 10 years ago. I never appreciated it when we lived in Louisiana because it wasn’t cold enough to be needed. But it has really kept me warm during these German winters!
