013.366 I am grateful for snow, in moderation. Yummy Hubby caught me writing a love note on his ’95 Skyline! I’m a cheeky monkey, I am!
Not the Wrong Camera, Just the Easiest
I’m finding I update my grateful project two or three days at a time. And that I use my iPhone 4 to do so more often than using my D5100. I need to start using my Nikon more often. I probably need to quite literally put it on a calendar and schedule it in. I don’t carry it around with me in my bag as often as I did at first; but that’s a good thing because I needed a break from tension headaches. I have enough top weight to carry around without adding several camera pounds to the everyday baggage. Here’s to goals! Not resolutions.

011.366 I am grateful for this lovely lady. I only met her a few months ago but she is such an easy person to be friends with. She has so much enthusiasm for life and her family. She’s willing to help people at the drop of a hat. She’s so energetic despite some health issues that have plagued her recently. And did I mention that she’s a fellow crafty lady? She quilts like nobody’s business. She sews, embroiders, and well, pretty much anything fiber related. Unfortunately (fortunately for me!!! eek!) she decided to not worry about crochet or yarn related goodies anymore and focus solely on quilting. Which is completely fine. “Why?” you ask. This marvelous lady gave me a 66 qt tub full of yarn! How fabulous is that? Since we have a KMC Fiber Arts club thing going in the local area I can share the wealth. I am so grateful for Genevieve. (and I know my fellow crochet/knitting ladies are going to feel grateful also…!)

010.366 I am so grateful for this man, my husband. We have had quite an interesting life and traveled the world together. I wish I could have been there this week to see him reenlist. We’ve spent as much time apart as we have together. He sacrifices so much to do his job. The last three years have been especially difficult with him being gone, literally, half the time. It’s difficult to explain this to our civilian family and friends back in the states. They think when he deploys that I should just hop on a plane and come “home” for that time frame. What they don’t understand is that I truly transitioned to the motto “Home is where the Air Force sends us.” Thank you, my Yummy Hubby, for everything you do.

I’m grateful for my crockpot and these nifty crockpot liners. They both save me time and energy to do other things. Clean up is a snap! Just lift the bag out and throw away. My crockpot was gifted to me nine years ago. Unfortunately, the crock part doesn’t lift out of the base so clean up can be a little tricky if I don’t clean it right away.

005.366 Grateful for these two Reisenthel baskets. I’ve had the brown one for three years and use it for everything from grocery shopping, carrying dishes to potlucks and everything in between. My little red riding hood one is new since Christmas and is used to keep crochet WIP’s and to carry stuff on day trips. The brown one is always with me when I shop on the German economy. Most stores charge for any bags you use when you bag your items at the end of your transaction. At the farmers markets people still shop with an old traditional woven basket. I love it!!
